Welcome!Welcome to my Web site! This is where you can learn a little more about me and my forthcoming children’s books, read articles I’ve written, or see where I'll be doing author events. If you'd like to schedule me for an author event or school visit, be on the list for book announcements, or just say hi, please send me an email. A few fun facts about me (the long version is at 'About Me'): •I’m allergic to apples, peaches and plums, but eat them anyway. •My first job was a server in an ice cream parlor. •I have run two half-marathons. So, technically, I’ve run a marathon. •At age 10, I slid across a wooden bleacher and got a 4 ½ inch splinter in my thigh. •If I get water in my ears, it stays in there for at least 3 days. •I know how to write in Old English Calligraphy. •I’m very lucky and win things often. •I have swum with sharks. •I’m afraid of heights. •I can draw (shhh, don't tell anyone). •I almost died giving birth to my first son. •I enjoy singing and was once in a garage band. •I don’t like raisins, peas, and food with chunks in it, cockroaches, getting up early, when friends move away, having newspaper print on my fingertips, parenting advice from people without kids, when my children are hurting, and not having enough time to do all the things I want to do. •I love my family, the fresh smell of a new can of tennis balls, old friends, a big thunderstorm with plenty of lightning, traveling to new places, writing stories for kids, playing in the ocean, how a song can bring you back to an exact moment, sunshine, outdoor concerts, and when I finish reading a book so great I want to close it and start again at page 1. Thanks for stopping by and please visit again soon! |
